Thrown Vessel with Slips, Underglaze, and Glaze on Stoneware

This vessel is inspired by the old hangar that is left to ruin at the Royal Naval Air Station Dale (also known as HMS Goldcrest). RNAS Dale is a former Royal Naval Air Station, located 10 miles South West of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It was operational between 1942 and 1948, being used by both the Royal Air Force (1942–1943) and the Royal Navy (1943–1948). The airfield was used for many different purposes, for example- air/sea rescue, anti-submarine patrols, training and convoy protection.
