Thrown Vessel with Slips, Underglaze, and Glaze on Stoneware
 
This vessel is inspired by a photograph that I took at Crugmeer Airfield in Padstow. The photo is of an old tower-like building. The airfield was a WW1 RAF Marine anti submarine airfield which housed a WW1 Bi Plane used for locating German U-boats off the North Cornwall Coast. It had an unpaved runway and was in operation between 1918 – 1919.
 
The colours and marks on the piece remind me of being at the location.
